Parking near the Fair (excerpted from here)

The newly refurbished Maynard Street Parking Structure provides convenient parking two blocks from the center of the Original Fair. Evening and Saturday parking is available at the University of Michigan parking garage on Thayer and Washington, and at the Palmer Deck (enter off Washtenaw and take the walkway), both immediately adjacent to the Fair. Many downtown city structures and lots cost $10 a day ($5 after 5 PM). Neighborhood parking is available all along State St. and north of Washington at schools, churches, and apartment buildings for a fee.

Several streets that run through or next to campus will be closed beginning Tuesday morning - East Washington from State to Fletcher (closed Monday at 9 AM)

South State from Washington to Monroe
South Thayer
North University from State to Fletcher
South University from State to Washtenaw
East University from South University to Willard
Church from south of the Church Street parking structure (525 Church St.) to Willard
East Liberty from Main to State
Maynard from East Liberty to south of William
South Thompson - half a block south from East Liberty
South Main from Huron to William

Forest St. City Public Parking - may have easier access from highway - map ref. M8

Friday Late Night - Dakota Building - 1785 W. Stadium Blvd.
Plenty of free parking available in paved lot adjacent to the building.

Saturday Evening - U. Michigan Union Ballroom - 530 S. State St.
