Mini Girl Jam with Jojo Jackson

On June 30th, Jojo of girl jam fame will be in Ann Arbor to rawk your sawks awf!! There will be a mini girl jam workshop right here! In our state!

LADIES! You do not want to miss this event! Jojo is a nationally renowned instructor and she's going to put a spring in your step and light a fire under your... um... feet. Yeah. Maybe I should post an excerpt from her bio instead of being dumb...

She is an American Lindy Hop champion, a four-time Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown champion, and has performed with teams such as Minnie's Moochers and Mad Dog. Jojo's dancing is dynamic, tends to defy gravity, and her mom thinks she's quite a catch.

NOTE: This is a workshop for intermediate and advanced follows. At a minimum, you should be able to follow basic lindy hop moves such as the swing out from open and closed and the lindy circle.

Schedule

2:00-4:00pm: Solo Jazz & Charleston! Starting with the fundamentals, this high-energy class will give you a firm foundation for performing, competing, or just messing around with solo Charleston. Guaranteed to be fun and challenging for all levels!

4:00-5:00pm: My Turn AKA Lindy Hop for Followers. Finally, a class that is focused 100% on the follower! In this class, we'll cover technique for slow, medium, and fast tempos, as well as how to find your "voice" on the dance floor and really use it.

Cost

Classes: $20 for students, $30 for everyone else
Dance: $4 for students, $5 for everyone else ($1 off for Swing Ann Arbor members)
