2006-2007:
- Don't be afraid of confrontation and make sure to constantly evaluate
yourself critically.
- Plan in Advance - create benchmarks, deadlines, expectations, and set
goals. Be enthusiastic and energized.
- Get to know the other leadership council members better - they are a
great resource for support!
- Take time for yourself and balance KDP with student teaching.
- Balance your time, but get involved in as many events as
possible.
- Ask for help! Don't try to take on everything yourself.
- Stay up to date with your responsibilities so that you can stay
enthusiastic and organized!
- Take risks with your new ideas, but just remember to be reflective;
you may need to adapt to make it work. (good luck!)
- Be supportive of each other through out the entire year …
volunteer your help to all council members!!
- Stay positive! Be enthusiastic even if you feel like everything is a
mess.
- Make the most of your time - get involved in as many events as you
can outside of your own.
- Don't overwhelm yourself; set your project down and forget about it
for 2 days. EMAIL, EMAIL, EMAIL :)
