General Volunteers are essential to the success of the MLK Children & Youth Program.
It takes close to 100 such volunteers to make the day run smoothly and safely for all of the participating students.

Duties and tasks for the general volunteer include:
  • Building Preparation
  • Registration Help
  • Hallway Guides
  • Classroom Aides
  • Safety Monitors
  • Lunch Set-Up/Take-Down
  • Building Clean-Up

Dress Code:
Please wear Michigan shirt or sweatshirt that is blue or maize as predominant background. This is so you are easily identifiable to the participants and their parents.
Shifts for these volunteers last for 4 hours.
Needed shift times are:
  • 7:00am - 11:00am
  • 10:00am - 2:00pm
  • 12:00pm - 4:00pm

(Some people may want to stay all day, and that would be fantastic!)
