Teacher-Leader Registration

Teacher-Leaders are essential to the success of the MLK Children & Youth Program.
It takes at least 45 such volunteers to guide the K-12 students through the day's creativity, dialogues, and entertainment.

Things teacher-leaders need to know:
  • fill out and submit the online registration form
  • sign commitment form in person, even if filling out the online form
  • plan to be at the MLB on the day of the event from 7:30am to 4:00pm
  • indicating a preferred age group does not guarantee that you will actually work with that specific group
  • you will be responsible for a group of at least 15, but no more than 25 students the day of the event
  • wear a Michigan shirt or sweatshirt that has a white or grey background as the predominant color. This is so participants and their parents can easily identify you.
  • lesson plans and materials will be provided to help you discuss this year's theme with your group
The 2009 theme is: A Dreamer, But Not the Only One
