The Chemistry Instrument Shop is a full-service precision machine shop specializing in the design and construction of custom mechanical equipment for scientific research and teaching.

The Chemistry Instrument Shop is a research support component of the University of Michigan Department of Chemistry. The shop also performs work for other University of Michigan departments, other universities and private research groups.
