The goal of the Asian American Health and Cultural Fair is to introduce participants to a variety of Asian cultural entities that contribute to American society and to increase our participants’ knowledge of various aspects of these cultures.
This event aims to foster understanding between individuals of different heritages by sharing and highlighting the traditions that have shaped the lives of Asian Americans and by serving as a forum for the discussion of various health and cultural issues that affect Asian ethnic groups and their experiences as Americans.
We additionally hope to promote cross-cultural understanding, especially as it pertains to health care, by discussing several topics and scenarios that health care providers and receivers may encounter in the Asian American community.
Finally, to promote the health of our community, we are offering free health screenings for cholesterol, glaucoma and blood pressure and running a bone marrow drive.
We encourage and welcome participation from all interested students and community members!
