Join UAAO

If your organization would like to join the UAAO coalition, please email uaao.board@umich.edu. We will invite your organization to do a presentation at a general UAAO meeting, followed by a Q&A session from the voting body. Organizational membership is ratified by majority vote.

Please e-mail answers to the following questions to uaao.board@umich.edu. We will then contact you with an appropriate date to present to the organizations that make up the UAAO Coalition.

The above answers must be answered by the potential advocate.

What is an advocate? Your organization must select an individual that will represent the organization at weekly general meetings as well as montly advocates meetings. The advocates will serve as a representative for your organization and will update us on what is going on in your respective community and will, in turn, relay information from the UAAO coalition back to his/her board. The advocate for your organization will develop strong relations with advocates from other organizations opening up greater possiblities for collaborations and a great opportunity to network on campus.

If you do not have an organizational affiliation (i.e. you are a member at-large), we STRONGLY encourage you to attend the general UAAO meetings or get involved with a committee or program. Students at-large are an integral component to UAAO and the APA community.
