Mission

University Audits' mission is to provide independent auditing and consulting services to assist management in balancing operational efficiency with risk identification, assessment and control.

We work in collaboration with management to enhance accountability at all levels of the University community.

Vision

University Audits will strive to provide high quality auditing and consulting services across the entire University community to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Our risk assessment process will determine the areas of priority and focus. To accomplish this, we will:

• Conduct proactive compliance, operational, and information systems audits, and special investigations,leveraging our broad perspective of the University's culture and environments;
• Be a valued source of advice and education on best practices regarding risk management, control self-assessment, compliance issues, and operating policies and procedures;
• Promote a comprehensive, ongoing risk and control self-assessment program;
• Co-source with internal and external specialists, as appropriate;
• Coordinate external audit services;
• Create a work environment that encourages and supports open communication, diversity, and high professional standards;
• Enhance competence, innovation, and continuous improvement through professional development.
