9/10/03 Email, Getting Started

The course conference for UC260 is now up and running. This message provides brief instructions for getting started. For more information on expectations and grading, go to the course homepage.
To access the conference:

1. go to: http://calypso.rs.itd.umich.edu/COW/
2. Click UMICH ENTER
3. Enter UNIQUENAME and PASSWORD, return
4. Click CHANGE HOTLIST
5. Find and check UC260
6. Click SAVE NEW HOTLIST
7. Click UC260, which should now appear on your hotlist
8. Click HELP, to learn how to use COW
   When finished, return to the conference
9. Click WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO DISCUSS
10. Read other entries, enter your response

For help, message one of the undergraduate course assistants:

Lab B: Shaili Shah (shailijs@umich.edu)

Danielle and Shaili will be facilitation the discussion. For the first two weeks, everyone will participate on one conference. At the end of the second week, we will divide into two groups: Lab A and Lab B. Most of your discussion will be within the smaller group, although from time to time, general questions will be posted on the main course conference.
