Dear Microfluidics in Biomedical Sciences Faculty and Students,

As the school year comes to an end, I would like to announce the following:

1) Our Annual Symposium will held on May 10, 2012. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Ahn, The University of Cincinnatti.

2) We will be accepting applications for the 2012-2013 Academic Year in the early spring: Plese see the file "Call for Applicants.pdf" for what is expected in an applicant package. We expect to nominate up to three new candidates for the 2011-2012 Academic Year!!! The deadline for applicants will be JUNE 15, 2012.

3)Brandon Bruhn, Jenna Campbell, and Joseph Labuz are the recipients of the 2011-2012 MBSTP Fellowship Award. Congratualtions! Patrick Ingram, Kee Scholten, and Jack Wang have been renewed as second year Trainee. Congratualtions to all!

4) Patrick Ingram, Jenna Campbell, Jennifer Zhou Zhang, and Nicole Michelotti have agreed to serve as the officers for the student run "Microfluidics Seminar and Workshop Series” this year. I'm sure that they would be happy to take suggestions for local and external speakers.

Best Seminar Speaker Contest
The best student speaker will be awarded $100 by the Executive Committee, at the Annual Symposium.
