His Temple

"'Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the LORD. It is he who will build the temple of the LORD, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne." Zechariah 6:12-13

What an honor it is to be a part of the renovation of His Temple at ULC (University Lutheran Chapel). My name is Norma Polk and my official title is "Volunteer Coordinator" for the renovation of the building. My passion to reach out to UM students started when my husband, Thad, decided to start inviting his students to our house for dinner. I'm hoping that I'm not only a part of rebuilding and renovating the actual building, but also rebuilding the Body of Christ at ULC.

The University Lutheran Chapel is one of the sites of St. Luke Lutheran Church . It is a place for students coming from homes with solid Christian foundations to step into an adult faith life. It is also a place for those who are searching for the meaning of life and who need to hear the Gospel.

The Chapel and the student Center are now undergoing a major renovation to better support the ministries. Volunteers play a major role in this process. “Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the LORD, and you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you. This will happen if you diligently obey the LORD your God." Zechariah 6:15

This blog is going to document the renovation. We'll also post opportunities for volunteers to serve.
