Membership

The University of Michigan Ballroom Dance Club is a members-only organization, although we always welcome newcomers to try us on for size.

Individuals wishing to try out the club may purchase a trial membership for $3 for one evening. The trial membership includes free level 1 and/or level 2 lessons and free open dancing from 8-10. No voting privileges come with a trial membership.

Regular Basic membership covers Level 1 and Level 2 lessons and the open dancing from 8-10pm. It also reduces the price of entrance to parties. In addition, membership in the club entitles one to attend board meetings and vote in the elections.

Membership costs are as follows and one may join any Sunday by attending a lesson or open dance and paying the yearly, semester, or trial fee at the door (Affiliates include employees and Alumni):

A student is anybody who is enrolled in a degree-granting program, whether at the high school, undergraduate or graduate level. For students, club membership includes all levels of classes.

Currently, the price to attend level one/two lessons and open dancing for ONE NIGHT ONLY is $3.
