IMPORTANT: WebDAV is a tool for uploading multiple files. If you would like information about uploading a single file, please click the Resources link under "Using the Tools" in the left-hand menubar of this Online Help Guide.
In CTools, you can copy a file from your local system to your CTools site by using the New button in the Resources tool. However, if you want to copy an entire folder of files to your Resources folder in CTools, or, if you would like to copy multiple files or folders between your local system and your CTools Resources folder, a software tool called WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) can be used to drag files or folders from your local computer to or from the Resources folder in CTools.
Some setup is required to make your computer aware of CTools so it will treat a CTools Resources folder as another folder on your computer. Once you have set up a particular Ctools Resource folder, you can drag and drop multiple files and folders between that folder and your local Windows or Mac system.
Note: Before you begin the setup procedure, there must be at least one object (file, folder, etc.) placed in your particular Resource folder for each Resource folder that you intend to use with WebDAV. This needs to be done to “initialize” the folder for WebDav transfers.
