Q & A - About Gymnastics and U-M

At what age did you start gymnastics?   7
How did you become involved in gymnastics?   My parents got tired of me hanging all over the house and climbing on everything so they put me in a class
What is your favorite event? Why?   Floor, I love performing and having my own music

What attracted you to the University of Michigan?   The tradition of the school and its athletics as well as the team and how close they were
What is it like competing for U-M?   It is a dream come from, it is hard to explain but it is an incomparable feeling to know you represent Michigan and that tradition.
What has been your most memorable (gymnastics) moment at U-M?   Winning the Big Ten team title my freshman year.
What has been your most memorable (non-gymnastics) moment at U-M?   Seeing the basketball team beat MSU.

What inspires you to keep going after a disappointing meet or a tough week of practice?   Knowing that not everything is going to be perfect all the time. Knowing it takes more character to keep on pushing through a bad time than to ride the wave when things are good.
What advice would you share with up-and-coming gymnasts who aspire to be like you or one of your teammates?   Give it all that you have in everything you do. Respect everyone. Have pride in what you do and always enjoy it.
