Q & A - About Gymnastics and U-M

Why do you like doing gymnastics?   Because it is one sport that not just anybody can do.
What is your favorite event or routine? Why?   Floor.

What attracted you to the University of Michigan?   Of course the team but also the whole overall Michigan tradition.
What has been your most memorable gymnastics moment at Michigan?   Freshman Year Big Tens!! - My bar celebration!

What has been your biggest challenge/obstacle in gym or college (or both)? How did your overcome this challenge?   Not seeing my family everyday. When you have 2 sisters and a brother it seems like you are always with someone in your family, even if it is going to watch them in their sport. My family is really good however at calling and sending e-mails to check up on me. They also come down to see me a lot and are always willing to buy a plane ticket home. Otherwise I do get to spend the entire summer at home.
What has been your most embarrassing moment in the gym (ever)?   Well… I can think of one, but would rather not share. I was Chelsea’s roommate at a meet though when this happened.
What goes through your head immediately before a routine?   I am usually visualizing my routines.

What advice would you share with up-and-coming Michigan gymnasts?   Never give up. gymnastics has a lot of great benefits if you work hard.
What is your favorite part of the gym meets?   Performing of course!
Other than Michigan, where is your favorite place to compete and why?   Minnesota, because that is where I am from, and then all my family can come

Q & A - About You Personally

What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?
I love Taco Bell.

How would your teammates describe you?
Like a mom.

Who is one of your role models and why?

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Well… I plan on going to law school. Then Chels and I are going to open up a law firm and once we make a lot of money we are going to open up a clothing store!.

Besides gymnastics, what is one thing that you do well?

If you were given $431,718 how would you spend it?
Travel the world and save the rest.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
To fly… vault and floor would be so easy!

What’s the best way to show your Michigan spirit?
There are just way too many ways!

Since beginning college one thing I’ve learned is that…
You have to stay on top of things and you should never take linguistics 211!
