Q & A - About Gymnastics and U-M

Why do you like doing gymnastics?   It is a great sport. It not only keeps you physically fit, but also teaches the athlete simple values in life. (good sportsmanship, team work, time management, etc.)
What is your favorite event or routine? Why?   Either vault or floor. I like these two events because they require a lot of power.

What attracted you to the University of Michigan?   The team, the coaches, the atmosphere of the university, the support, and the incredible feeling of being part of Michigan athletics.
What has been your most memorable gymnastics moment at Michigan?   Conditioning!!!

What has been your biggest challenge/obstacle in gym or college (or both)? How did your overcome this challenge?   Any kind of injury that I’ve had that has taken a while to come back from. I haven't had many, but it's always tough to go through.
What has been your most embarrassing moment in the gym (ever)?   I have too many of them. Not too embarrassing, just funny.
What goes through your head immediately before a routine?   I’ve hit this routine a thousand times, what's one more?

What advice would you share with up-and-coming Michigan gymnasts?   Be in shape when you get here, conditioning will be that much easier. (Haha)
What is your favorite part of the gym meets?   So far I’ve only been a fan in the crowd, but the introduction of the teams and gymnasts seems like a lot of fun.
Other than Michigan, where is your favorite place to compete and why?   I don't know yet, but I'm sure it's going to be University of Georgia.

Q & A - About You Personally

What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m really older than my younger sister!!!

How would your teammates describe you?
Caring, Fun-loving, Good Spirited

Who is one of your role models and why?
Lance Armstrong. He was diagnosed with 3 different terminal cancers and nearly a 10% chance of living. He survived and came back to do something no other man has ever done in the history of sports. He is a living legend still accomplishing the unthinkable.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Where ever life takes me.

Besides gymnastics, what is one thing that you do well?
Spend my parents' money!

If you were given $431,718 how would you spend it?
Wow, what a creative amount of money. Well, I would put $400,00 away in stocks, spend $20,000 on a new car, give $10,000 to charity or church, spend $1000 on a few plane tickets, spend $700 on new clothes, and keep the extra $18 for a frivolous moment where I just want to splurge.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I wish I could be invisible. That is the best superpower ever!

What’s the best way to show your Michigan spirit?
Get fully decked out in Michigan attire for the football games. You really feel part of a gigantic family.

Since beginning college one thing I’ve learned is that…
Central campus really isn’t that big once you figure it out.
