Anne Benear

Anne once visited Ireland and sadly fell instantly in love with the country.  When she returned, she lamented her complete lack of Irish blood, especially after she had been blown away watching an Irish stepdancing performance while there.  After entirely missing the 2006 Festifall and having no experience in Irish dance save as a one-time spectator, she was led to Léim by Megan Victor, who she already thanked/blamed for corrupting her with a love of all things Celtic–particularly the music.  She soon discovered that she also loves dancing in Léim and practices wherever she can, usually in the front hall of Martha Cook, confusing her fellow residents and dodging benches, tables, and potted plants.  She has one word of advice: even if they’re playing the right music, it is not a good idea to practice Irish stepdancing in a mirror maze.
