Amelia Raines Amelia likes to dance. She has dabbled in a variety of world dances (Scottish Highland, West African, Javanese, Congolese, and bellydance, to name a few) and has thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Upon seeing the epic 2010 Leim Irish Dance show, she thought "I GOTTA do that!" and promptly joined the next fall. Irish dance has quickly gained the status of "coolest dance ever" in her book. She is excited for her first year with Leim and hopes that you will come see her in the show. Her potato-obsessed Irish-descended family is very proud to see her honoring the unbroken line of Margarets, stretching all the way back to County Kilkenny, of which she is a part (for Margaret is her actual first name). She doesn't know if she had ancestors who did Irish dance, but she likes to pretend she did. In her spare time, Amelia practices speaking Thai and Wolof, bakes cookies, and hangs out with her 12-year-old little brother, Gabe "The Coolest Kid Alive" Raines.
