Glee Club Announces 144th Season
9.01.2003
For public release:
This will be an exciting year for the Michigan Men’s Glee Club. Starting with the Central Michigan game, members of Club will
be seen performing throughout the year on campus and off. Every Football Saturday the presence of the Glee Club will be seen
at tailgates and around the Big House, this year will be no different.
As the rivalry continues between Michigan and Ohio State a perfect way to wrap up the football season will be with the Men’s
Glee Club’s 144th Annual Fall Concert, November 22, 2003. This fall the Men’s Glee Club will be performing at Rackham
Auditorium 6pm and 9pm following the Michigan OSU game.
Not able to get to Ann Arbor? Not a problem, the Men’s Glee Club will be off campus and around the state of Michigan several
times during the year. Frankenmuth will be hosting the Men’s Glee Club November 14. The brand new Performing Arts Center in
East Grand Rapids will be the home of the Glee Club January 10, 2004. The Glee Club will also have the honor to perform in
Troy Michigan on April 2, 2004.
The Men’s Glee Club has been honored to receive an invitation to Harvard’s Intercollegiate Male Vocal Competition this March
in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is a great honor and will be an exciting challenge as the Men’s Glee Club will compete
against Male Glee Clubs from all around the country.
Finally, and on a very important note, the Men’s Glee Club will be returning to Hill Auditorium this spring! April 17, 2004
the Glee Club will be performing in its perfect acoustic home-venue, Hill Auditorium, after a year and a half of construction.
This will be the first time the Glee Club has performed in Hill since Jerry Blackstone left the group in the spring of 2002.
The group is highly looking forward to performing at Hill before the Men’s Glee Club sends off to the British Isles for the
spring tour.
