Celebrating its 20th anniversary in song, Measure 4 Measure joins the Men?s Glee Club for a special holiday performance at the acoustically superb St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Formed in 1988 with a core of alumni from the Men?s Glee Club, M4M has grown into a highly acclaimed men?s ensemble with an active regional, national and international performance schedule.
The Men's Glee Club presents spiritual music for the season, including Gloria by William Mathias, Laudate pueri by Felix Mendelssohn, Quatre Petites Prières de Saint François d'Assise by Francis Poulenc, Ain't Got Time to Die arranged by Phillip Duey and I Can't Tarry arranged by David Morrow, as well as the hilarious and inspiring Christmas Medley arranged by Richard Gregory. MGC and M4M conclude this special concert with joint performances of Franz Biebl?s classic setting of Ave Maria as well as the Nigerian folk song Betelehemu, a piece that celebrates the birth of Jesus with lively percussion accompaniment, rhythmic movement, and exceeding joy.
