ACRA Championships
Michigan managed to sweep the heavyweight eights at the American Collegiate Rowing Association Championships, all by open water. No finish was more spectacular than another as Michigan was clearly "head and shoulders above everyone" else Coach Hartsuff commented.
Blue demonstrated some serious speed and depth at the freshman level as both the First and Second Freshman 8 dominated.
In the First Varsity Eight event Michigan did not win a heat by less than open water as a result of never seeing a legitmate challenger. The times posted by Michigan in this event became less and less comparable to winners in other heats as the event continued. In the final, the Wolverines showed evern more speed than at any other point in the season despite racing by themselves for nearly 1500 meters.
