San Diego Crew Classic
The Varsity Eights chance to win the Copley Cup were lost with a very exciting heat. The race came down to Michigan, Princeton and Yale for the final spot and unfortunately, the Wolverines took third in that pack.
In the final, the V8 took 4th, beating Purdue and getting edged out by a strong Oregon State crew.
In the freshman event, Michigan was similarly edged out for a spot in the grand final with a narrow loss to University of British Columbia. In the petite final later in the day, the crew took second to place 8th overall.
