#19 Michigan at #2 Wisconsin

After a short week of training following the San Diego Crew Classic, Michigan headed to Madison to duel University of Wisconsin.

The Defending National Champions, Wisconsin's team was very strong top to bottom and swept Michigan in all events.

The Varsity Eight's race was first started on the course behind Porter Boathouse and the race was called off after five hundred meters as the course quickly became unrowable. A new site 3 miles away was agreed upon and the racing continued.

Between races the crews from the Varsity Eights that had started racing dried off, removed the water from their respective shells and launched again.

The closest races were the First Varsity and the First Freshman, with margins of 10.8 and 10.4 seconds respectively. Races further down the later favored Wisconsin more and more, a tribute to their depth.
