Wolverines Solid at HOCR

BOSTON, MA.-- The University of Michigan men's rowing team performed well at the 42nd annual Head of the Charles Regatta in Cambridge, Mass. on Sunday, October 22.  U-M entered two boats, one racing in the Championship 8 race, and the other battling it out in the Collegiate 8.  Michigan's first test was the Collegiate 8, where the Wolverine boat finished 14th out of 58 with a time of 15:52.514.  The top boat was the Western Rowing Club with a time of 15:08.301.

In the Championship 8, U-M posted a time of 15:05.540 for a 24th place finish out of 44 crews.  The winner of the Championship 8 race was the Princeton Training Center with a time of 14:09.673.  Michigan will now have three weeks to train before the annual "WolverBuck Oar" on November 18 vs. Ohio State.  Michigan has won the event 10 years in a row, and will look to retain the 'Oar' in Columbus this year.
