Michigan Shines at GW Invitational on Friday
WASHINGTON, D.C.-- The University of Michigan
men's rowing team had another solid early-season
performance, posting top times on Friday, April
6 in both the 1V8 and 2V8 in Washington
D.C. on the Potomac River. In the 1V8
race, the Wolverines took on GW and St. Joe's,
finishing with a time of 5:28.7, almost four
seconds ahead of the second place GW boat.
The second fastest V8 boat on the day was
Temple, posting a time of 5:34.1. The
Wolveirnes' 2V8 boat slid in at 5:46.5, 2.5
seconds ahead of GW's 2V8 and .9 seconds ahead
of the fastest 2V8 on the day, Temple.
Michigan will be back in the water tomorrow
morning for another round of races. Be
