Michigan Sweeps OSU at Home

Boston, MASS--
The University of Michigan men’s rowing team won the Wolverbuck Oar Saturday after sweeping OSU in all four events. There were three heats of varsity eight events and two flights of freshman eights. The varisty eights were started with an extreme advantage to the crew in the outside lane as that crew had the a longer course around the turn. The freshman eight events were raced in two flights as a head race. The course was approximently 1500m long.

The closest race among the varsity boats was in the second varsity eight, where the margin of victory was still by open water. Blue's first and third eights dominated their races over OSU's repective eights. The freshman eight head result was closer than expected, however the Michgan first freshman eight won.

Saturday's victory is the second straight sweep over OSU and the twelth consecutive win. The series record is 14-2 in favor of Michigan.
