Hughes Qualifies for Quarters at World Championships

MUNICH, GERMANY-- Matt Hughes ('04) and Sam Stitt finished third in their heat to advance to the quarterfinals. They sat is a comfortable third place to qualify for the quarterfinal heat on Tuesday, August 28. They finished well ahead of fourth place finisher, Ukraine. Slovenia won the heat with a time of 6:23.32, Italy was second with 6:26.34 and Hughes and Stitt finished next with a time of 6:27.35. Click here for a complete list of Rowing events and schedules.
