Directions
to the Race Course:
FROM ANN ARBOR: Take I-94 to Detroit. Near the city, follow signs for the bridge
to Canada. Take the bridge to Canada. Once in Canada follow signs to 401 east
(you will end up staying on the road you are on) towards London, ONT. Stay
on 401 until Woodstock, ONT. At Woodstock transfer to 403 going east. Near
Brandtford 403 will stop for a ways. You pick up route 2/53 towards Hamilton.
Before Hamilton highway 403 east will pick up again. Get on 403 east. Past
Hamilton Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) will adjoin. GET ON QEW TRAVELING EAST (Niagra).
Go through St. Catherines on the QEW. Nearing the border route 405 breaks off
to Niagra. Take 405 (only a short way until the border). Once back in the USA
follow sign for I-190 (east). We will take I-190 to I-290east to I-90 east.
If you just follow signs for I-90 (NY Thruway) east you will be fine. Stay
on I-90 (also the New York Thruway) all the way through New York. Around Albany
the NY Thruway will break off (stay on I-90). In Massachusetts I-90 will turn
into the Mass Turnpike. Follow the Mass Turnpike (I-90) all the way until Boston.
In Boston exit at exit 18 - River Street. Take the bridge across the river
to Cambridge. Take the first right over the river onto Memorial Drive. Follow
down a mile or so and Magazine Beach is on the right. If you reach the Boston
University bridge you have gone too far. Parents/Friends: Parking is more challenging
here than any other event we attend – be prepared for a walk as long
as 2 miles.
