Directions
to the Race Course:
FROM ANN ARBOR: TO ROCKFORD YMCA (lodging and regatta site):
Take I-94
west all the way through Michigan and into Indiana. Just prior to the Illinois/Indiana
border I-94 will pick up with I-80 west. Soon I-94 will break off - STAY ON
I-80. I-80 will pick up I-294 shortly thereafter. From this point on you want
to stay on I-294 west (Tri-state tollway), as I-80 will break off. Staying
on west I-294 you will hit various toll booths. Eventually I-290 will intersect
I-294. You want to get on I-290 going west (to Rockford). I-290 is not a toll
road. When I-290 west hits I-90 take I-90 west to Rockford. Take the State
St./US-20 Business exit. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto US-20
BR West. Turn right onto N. Longwood. N. Longwood St. becomes a ramp which
is a slight right onto IL-251 North/N 2nd St. Turn left onto Y Blvd. The YMCA
and boat storage is straight ahead. Parents/Friends: Fairly easy parking. If
park lots are full then street parking is an option. Only a few blocks walk
max.
