2008 Calendar
Here is a list of club events for the season.
The calendar will be updated if our schedule changes.
If no location is listed, the event will be held out at the club.
Events at the club are held outdoors, so there may
be last-minute postponements or cancellations due to the weather.
Guests are invited to come out to the club twice free
of charge at any time. Some events may require advance registration or special skills, however.
Boats are available on a first-come first-serve basis
for open sailing at all times that the club is open except during
Saturday boat school and major regattas.

Help us get ready for dock-in and the upcoming sailing season.
We will haul the boats out of the boathouse, reassemble them
on the lawn, and determine what needs repair.

We will work from approximately 10-4 each day

needed to get the club ready for another season.

Dock-In

Help us open the club for spring.
We will set up the floating dock, get the fleet ready to sail,
and disassemble the winter storage racks in the boathouse.
Please wear old clothes and bring work gloves if you have them.
We do need a few people in wet suits and waders, and a few
more in waterproof boots.
Also join us at the dock-in party in the evening; details will be
available at dock-in.

in memory of a 20-year veteran of the club.
The winner's name will be added to the trophy which hangs in the
boat house.

Welcome to Michigan
|
Sunday, August 31, 1 PM to 5 PM
All students are welcome to come out to our lake front
property for sailboat rides or sailing and windsurfing
lessons. Students can also just swim or take a canoe
or kayak out on the lake.
Bring a change of clothes, towel, sun block, and sunglasses.
For a ride out to the
lake, meet on Central Campus at the Michigan League entrance on
North University Ave at 12:15pm or on North Campus at the Pierpont
Commons main entrance by the parking lot at 12:45pm.

After the "official" finance meeting, we'll conduct a group
discussion to share information and gather feedback on replacing
the JY-15 fleet, in preparation for a vote at the club
election.

Join us in electing a new executive board for the upcoming year and
voting on the replacement of the JY-15 fleet and other capital
expenditures.
Every club member whose dues are current can vote.
Dues payments will be accepted at the
election.
Please be sure to come and participate. It's your club, and
your opinion counts.
