Find out more about club activities and issues!
We have two main email lists for members. They are open to subscribers: nobody is automatically placed on either list.

The first is a low-traffic moderated announcements list. Join this list to find out about the club's schedule, special events, and more. To add yourself, please send email to join-um-sailing@umich.edu .

The second is an unmoderated discussion list for our members to talk about anything and everything to do with sailing and the club. To add yourself, please send email to join-umsc-discuss@umich.edu .

Help us publicize the club!

Print copies of our 2008 mass meeting poster and hang them around campus.

Print out a copy of our two-page informational flier (big file) and hang it at your work or around town to advertise our club.

Get more involved in running the club!
Our governing board is elected every year in October. If you'd like to be on the board for next year, talk to a club officer for more information. Also, the Board has set up several committees which could use your help.

The Membership Committee's goal is to recruit new members, retain existing members, and publicize the club. They organize our mass meetings and plan events such as our participation in Festifall, Art Fair, Winterfest, and Welcome to Michigan New Student Orientation. They also organize fun events throughout the season such as Sailing Games days, parties, and more. To find out more, please send email to the membership committee. They also send out emails to the announcements list when they need additional volunteers for specific projects.

There is also an Instruction Committee that works on improving our instruction program, and a Landscape Committee that works on improving our grounds.

The club constitution and rules are now available online.

Find out more about weather-specific sailing gear!
Sailing in early spring and late fall means preparing for cold water and air conditions. For your safety, you'll need to be dressed for the weather. Please read our collected wisdom on what to wear out on the water, including a list of places in this area to buy specialized gear.
