Greetings a cappella singers and fans!
Welcome to the all-new Michigan A Cappella Council website! Here you can find information on all of the University of Michigan's a cappella groups and their joint concerts, including MACFest. The University of Michigan fosters one of the nation's most eclectic a cappella communities. In total, fourteen talented and diverse groups reside on U of M's campus, and many of these groups have received the a cappella world's highest honors. They have been featured on compilation CD's such as "Best of Collegiate A Cappella" (BOCA) and have gained recognition through the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA).
Michigan's a cappella groups are…
With such a large community, it is necessary to have an organization that helps groups maintain communication. The Michigan A Cappella Council (MACC) was formed to facilitate a dialogue between groups and the community. The council provides a voice for campus a cappella groups and acts as a liaison between the university and the a cappella community. The council also helps to bring the community together through social events and collaborative productions such as MACFest and A Cappella Rush.
All information pertaining to MACC events can be found on this MACC website. Information on individual groups such as recent albums and semester concerts can also be found here. Continue checking the website for updates on campus a cappella and MACC events!
