Award --
Liz Cutshall
Michelle Hachman was the UMFSC
President during the 1994-95 academic year and a driving force
in the establishment of the club. Her dedication and hard work
ensured the club's existence at a critical point in its
history. The club survived and grew due to the hard work of
Michelle and other members who went beyond the call of duty.
In 1995 the club dedicated an award in her name. Voted on by
the entire club, this award goes to the member whose hard work
plays a significant role in the UMFSC's success during the

Smith Award --
The Smith Award is dedicated
to Anne Smith, a former coach of the U-M Precision Team and a
skater on the team for 4 years at U of M, including the
original team. Anne was the UMFSC President for the 1995-96
academic year. Under the direction of Anne Smith, the team
placed 4th at the 1998 US National Precision Championships.
For the first two years, the Smith Award was given to the most
improved member of the synchronized skating team. In 1999, it
was revised to recognize the most spirited and dedicated
member of the team, and is voted on by the members of the
senior team. Past winners include:

Joneskee Award --
The Joneskee Award is
dedicated to Kyle Jones, a former assistant coach of the U-M
Synchronized Skating Teams in the 2000-01 season. Kyle Jones
had also in earlier years been a skater on the Teams. The Joneskee award is voted on by the members of the collegiate
team and is presented to the Collegiate Synchronized Team
skater who is the most spirited and dedicated member. Past

AMC Award

Liz Cutshall
The AMC Award was added in the 2005-06 season in honor of
former head coach Ann Marie Copp. Ann Marie Copp
coached the U-M Synchronized Skating teams from 1997-2005 and never failed to recognize the academic accomplishments of
her skaters. The Award reflects Copp's belief in the
importance of education and recognizes the skater with the
highest cumulative grade point average. Past winners include:
