About Tete & Silvia
Pedro 'Tete' Rusconi is the foremost teacher of the close embrace style of Argentine Tango. Since 1995, Tete and
Silvia Ceriani have been dancing and teaching together. They have toured throughout Germany, France, Switzerland,
Italy, Holland, Spain, Belgium, Sweden and the United States (Ohio and Arizona), teaching, performing and being
part of Tango Festivals. They prioritize the attention in the musical compasses, the sensibility of the body,
and the liberty of the movement. Their tango waltz classes are highly appreciated worldwide. Tete is noted for
his individual style of musicality, and the tango of the golden era of the 1940's and 1950's.
Tete and Silvia have two tango instructional videos,
that are used and seen by most close embrace dancers.
Paul Pellicoro of New York wrote the book "Paul Pellicoro On Tango" (2002), where he discusses the masters of
tango and included in the book are Tete and Silvia. The following are links to videos where you can watch Tete and
Silvia perform a Vals and a

About Maxi & Milva
Milva Bernardi and Maximiliano Gluzman are two young milonguer(o/a)s from Buenos Aires, the city where they live and dance.
They represent the new generation of Milonguero style dancer. The tango that Maxi and Milva transmit is based upon communication
between dancers in a continuously close embrace, musical interpretation and respectful navigation in the dance floor.
Consequently, their lessons are based on posture, leading and following, and musicality as a source of creativity. They focus
on improvisation as key to develop a dance that is funny and enjoyable for the couple, while they can still comfortably circulate
in a limited space.
Milva Bernardi started dancing in 1996. She studied formally with great Argentinean teachers such as Eduardo Capussi,
Celia Blanco and Graciela Gonzalez, among others, but feels that her ultimate school was the milonga portena, where she danced with
the most experienced milongueros, discovering the secrets of their body language. She has taught classes lessons with renowned
milongueros such as Enrique Rosich, Ruben Harymblat, Ricardo Vidort, Raul Poli and the world famous Pedro 'Tete' Rusconi.
Maximiliano Gluzman started dancing in 1997. He soon discovered milonguero style and studied with the most renowned Argentine teachers
in this style: Susana Miller, Ana Maria Schapira, Pedro 'Tete' Rusconi, Pocho y Neli, Ricardo Vidort and Jorge Kero. Even if his
main source of practice has been dancing in the milonga through endless hours, he has also embraced teaching as a main activity.
He teaches at Susana Miller's La Academia in Buenos Aires at all levels as well as with Milva Bernardi. Maximiliano is one of the
organizers of the International Milonguero Meeting that took place in Buenos Aires in February 2007.

you a spot in the workshops and save you money as well (see prices

requests (we appreciate your early enrollment greatly!).

Private Lessons
We have slotted some time on Monday for our guest instructors to
give private lessons to dancers seeking individuial attention. If you are
interested, you must schedule these private lessons through the club by
emailing your request to umtango@umich.edu.
In your email, please let us know if you have any scheduling preferences.
All the private lessons will be held at the grange.
The slots will be filled on a first-come first serve basis.
In the case that we have more requests than we can comply with, preference
will be given to people who have registered for the festival.
Accomodations
Housing with local dancers may be available for those out-of-towners
who register and pay prior to April 30, 2007. If you are interested, please email
tangohousing@yahoo.com.
The sooner you register, the more likely it is that we will be able to
find you housing.
In the past, we have been able to find housing for almost all of the visiting
dancers who requested for housing. However, as the number of out-of-town dancers
have increased, we are finding it difficult to satisfy all the housing requests.
See the accomodations page for more
information on local accomodations.
Local dancers who house out-of-towners will receive a 25% discount on
the workshop cost for each individual they host. If you are a local
dancer interested in providing housing, please sign up here.

Flying to Ann Arbor
The closest major airport to Ann Arbor is Detroit Metro Airport (DTW).
The airport is about 25 miles east of Ann Arbor. From the airport,
take I-94 West and follow it all the way to the State Street Exit in
Ann Arbor. Take a right on State St. and continue for about 3 miles
until you reach the University of Michigan campus.
Transportation to/from the airport.
Public Transportation from the airport to/from Ann Arbor is
limited to taxi-cab or a shuttle.
Shuttle services might not run periodically. You will have to
call them in advance to schedule a pick-up or drop-off. Check
the city's visitor guide
transportation page for more information. The area code for
Ann Arbor is 734.
You don't a car need that much once you are in town, but
renting a car at the airport might not be any more expensive
than taking the shuttle both ways.
You may also try the airports at Flint (FNT) and Toledo (TOL).
Sometimes airlines have cheaper fares to these cities. Toledo
and Flint are about an hour drive from Ann Arbor.
