Undergraduate Political Science Association
As a non-partisan organization, the Undergraduate Political Science Association (UPSA) of the University of Michigan is dedicated to acting as a liason between undergraduate students and the Political Science Department, providing leadership and organizat ional experience to motivated undergraduate students, and facilitating a better understanding of politics and political issues on campus and throughout the community.

Finance Committee
- Description: Secure funds from various campus resources; interacting with organizations, departments, university entities
- Educational Value: Public speaking experience; creating a budget; effective communication with other organizations; experience requesting funds; knowledge about financial/fundraising opportunities at the University
- Qualifications: Responsible, organized, dedicated, trustworthy, INTEREST!
Publicity Committee
- Description: increase/enhance UPSA's membership and campus presence; focus on "getting the word out" via advertisements of events.
- Educational Value: members will amass knowledge about effective advertising channels and develop strong communication skills in a team-oriented environment.
- Qualifications: dedication to goal achievement, ability to meet deadlines, inter-personal skills, quasi-creative.
Internal Affairs Committee
- Description: take pictures at event to post on the UPSA website, write brief descriptions of event proceedings, keep the website up to date
- Educational Value: members will develop organizational skills and the ability to use university services to strive towards collective goals.
- Qualifications: organizational ability, desire to strive to make deadlines, ability to effectively communicate with other group members in order to get tasks completed.
Walker Conference Committee
- Description: Conference that is put on once a year in late spring, this committee will be dedicated solely towards organizing, recruiting, and executing ideas for the Walker Conference.
- Educational Value: Helping students get a broader perspective on political issues, while giving them the opportunity to hear experts in their fields talk about various political matters. Being able to give students a better insight into the academia aspect of issues.
- Qualifications: Innovative, Responsible, Organized, Dedicated, Enthusiastic!

Wednesday, Nov. 18th- Professor Meet and Greet @ Room D in the Michigan league from 7:00 - 9:00.
Friday, Nov. 20th- UPSA Bake Sale @ Mason Hall. An all day event. Come out and buy some baked goods to help raise money for UPSA.
Friday, Dec. 11th- Yost Clean Up @ Yost Arena starting at 9:30.
