Raoul Kopelman, the Kasimir Fajans Collegiate Professor of Chemistry, Physics and Applied Physics, recently received two grants through the National Cancer Institute’s Nanotechnology Initiative. He received $2.7 million to further optimize the photonic explorers for biomedical use with biologically localized embedding-based photodynamic therapy approach to cancer treatment, and $3.6 million for photodynamic therapy research, to be shared with Roswell Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y. |
L. Rowell Huesmann, professor of communication studies and psychology, and senior research professor in the Research Center for Group Dynamics at the Institute for Social Research, recently received the American Psychological Association (APA) 2005 award for Distinguished Lifetime Contributions to Media Psychology. |
