Accolades

Ben van der Pluijm, professor of geology and of the environment, and director of the Global Change Program, is the recipient of the 2005 Geological Society of America Distinguished Service Award. In addition to honoring his service activities for the society, the award recognizes his efforts in publications and for serving as editor of the leading earth sciences journal, 'Geology.'
