Jazz vocalist Madeleine Peyroux (Nov. 8, Hill Auditorium) is among performers scheduled coming to campus for the University Musical Society's 2007-08 season. Tickets are available online beginning Aug. 16., while Aug. 20 marks the official beginning of phone and walk-up ticket sales. Performers include internationally renowned orchestras, chamber musicians, dance troupes, jazz artists, and world music, theater and dance ensembles—58 performances in five venues: Hill, Rackham Auditorium, the Power Center, the Michigan Theater, and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
