Proposals sought for research on state, local policyThe Center for Local, State and Urban Policy (CLOSUP) at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy has announced a funding opportunity for U-M faculty and primary research staff: the CLOSUP Policy Research Grants 2008 Funding Competition. The program seeks to foster applied research on issues relating to state, local and urban policy, particularly work of relevance to policymakers at the state and local level. Michigan-related research is encouraged but not required. Collaborative and interdisciplinary projects also are welcome. Plans call for five awards in the range of $10,000-$25,000. Proposals must be received by March 3.
