Introduction

My name is Qi Wang, a master student in Mechanical Engineering, concentration in thermal sciences. Since my undergraduate study consists both mechanical and computer engineering, coding and simulations are my favorite work to do here. I've been working in the VioliLab since Sept. 2014, and my main responsibility is to maintain and upgrade the Stochastic NAnoParticle Simulator (SNAPS) code in Python. The SNAPS is used to describe the growth pathways of carbonaceous nanoparticles in the flame using elementary chemical kinetic reactions. Several key publications from the VioliLab have already demonstrated the huge potentials of this tool. I also did some applications to the code, like the PAHs growth in a coflow diffusion flame. The SNAPS in the future will be a powerful, and our key tool to understand soot formation pathways. My email address is bluelion@umich.edu if you want to reach me. GO BLUE!
