1. 276-680 = The Cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter
(All but the two 5'-most nucleotides identified originally as the promoter sequence). The original CMV construct is maintained through nucleotide 894, and includes the CAAT box (CAAAT, from 736-740), the TATA box (TATAA, from 771-775), and the transcription start site (T, 798).
2. 3634-4494 = Ampicillin Resistance Gene (AMPr). This begins with the start codon (ATG, 3634-3636), and ends with the stop codon (TAA, 4492-4494).
3. 1135-2333 = The rat Mu Opiate Receptor (rMOR) gene.
