This service is usually part of the Web Site or Intranet Development and Management services. A professional design can help draw users into your site. This service also includes ensuring that graphics are optimized for quick downloading.
We develop graphics by making page mock-ups for each section so that you and others (audience focus groups may be of value here) have a chance to react to the new graphics. This activity results in a well-defined look for the site that will serve as a style guide for the Site Production.
Cost
As part of the University of Michigan, Web Services is a nonprofit organization. Thus, if the actual amount is less than the estimate, you will be billed for only the time spent. Web Services charges are based on staff hourly rates.
The actual cost of a project could be less than or more than the estimate. More time could be required if the scope or complexity changes. If we are approaching the estimated cost, and it is clear that additional time will be required, we will apprise you of the situation, so that we can discuss alternative approaches.
