FUSION combines the two other branches by working with students in Detroit. FUSION aims to teach young adults the power of their own voices through creative writing exercises. Our volunteers work with small groups of seventh and eighth graders and encourage them to dig deep within themselves to find their unique story to share with the world. Students begin the process by completing creative expression activities, and end their participation in the program by writing and illustrating their own short story. These stories are then published and distributed to the students, who can share them with friends and family.
