The Wesley Foundation at the University of Michigan --- a campus ministry of the United Methodist church --- provides a place of community and faith in the midst of college life. Through Bible studies for grads and undergrads, fun activities, service projects, movies, Holy Communion, programs, and speakers, we grow together and give the academic life a sense of balance and perspective. We laugh a lot. We care about each other. God is with us.
We strive to be a pluralistic community - academically, theologically, and by age and interest. We are also a community of persons committed to caring, sharing, serving, learning, and growing with each other regardless of ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital or economic status, handicapping condition, or other human differences. Our common bond is God's love shown through Jesus Christ. Our emphases include concern for the social implications of the gospel in the world and personal growth as Christians.
We are an official campus organization of the University of Michigan and also welcome students from Eastern Michigan University, Washtenaw Community College, and other college students.

The Rev. Bob Roth is our Chaplain/Director at the Wesley Foundation at the University of Michigan. A graduate of the Divinity School at Duke University and former Chaplain of Albion College, Bob is deeply committed to Christian spirituality, social justice, and church inclusiveness. And then there's Tiger baseball and jazz... Bob also serves on the pastoral staff of First United Methodist Church. Bob is here to provide leadership, to coordinate events, to help with problems, and, all around, just to be a great guy.

Communications Coordinator Dave Johnson is a grad student in Mechanical Engineering. He's "old" in years, but young at heart, and loves to ride bicycle for fun, fitness, and competition. Among his responsibilities, Dave helps to design and maintain our fancy Wesley website and he interfaces with Wesley's several administrative committees.

Community Coordinator Rebekkah Munchow (from Coloma) studies Civil Engineering at UofM and is in her fourth year. If you have questions about Germany, Becky delivers concrete answers. Questions about concrete? Becky can answer those, too. In German. At Wesley, Becky organizes our Sunday lunches, plans social events, and encourages small groups and people at Wesley to care more about each other. Basically, she's amazing.

A Frankenmuth native, Outreach, Campus, and Service Coordinator Sarah Wales is a UofM junior studying Math and Economics. Wonderfully and warmly efficient and effective, Sarah always accomplishes a whole lot in a quieter way than some. (Or is it just that Bob and Dave are talking a bit much?!) Sarah coordinates service activities, helps us welcome and accept new people, and encourages our involvement in the great issues of our time. All before lunch.
