"Memory for Going On"

A Wesley Foundation Loud Lecture featuring:

James Lawson

This prominent civil rights leader, professor, and United Methodist clergyperson, was recognized by Martin Luther King Jr. (with whom he worked closely for many years) as the "greatest techer of nonviolence in America." One of the most important advocates of church support for activism on behalf of unions and the working poor, a brilliant speaker and deep thinker, Lawson remains one of this country’s most important cross-over leaders, supporting civil rights and labor and human emancipation.
