BOULDER, CO—The Michigan women's club lacrosse team rallied in the second half where they stole a narrow lead. The win clinched their weekend 2-2 split record in the Mile High Invitational. The Wolverines posted the first goal of the game, but Santa Clara quickly took and maintained a lead through the first half, which ended with Santa Clara up, 6-8. Only down by two, Michigan made a strong comeback, scoring six unanswered goals in the second half to go up by four. Santa Clara recorded two goals to diminish the deficit, but the Wolverines ran out the clock in the final minutes to clinch the win. Seven of Michigan's goals came from free position shots and leading the team with three goals a piece were sophomore Julianne Patterson and senior Maddie Palmer. The Wolverines pulled themselves out of the hole and left Boulder with two solid wins. They will square off against rivals Michigan State next in their last conference game of the regular season.
