Jess Stanley is one of Michigan's more experienced players and is entering this season with high expectations. She enjoyed a prolific high school career at Marian and traveled with Detroit Lacrosse before coming to play for the Wolverines. After this, her senior season, Jess hopes to attend medical school and eventually practice dermatology.
College Career:
Jess is in her final year in the School of LS&A where she majors in Brain, Behavior & Cognitive Science. She is very involved on campus, where she is a Red Cross F.A.S.T. team member, active in the Sigma Kappa Sorority, and also involved in the Pre-Dental Club.
Her Sophomore season Jess was a breakout player finishing third on team with 31 goals. Stanley bolstered Michigan's transition play using her speed to set up the offensive attack.
Freshman year Stanley scored 17 goals while picking up 13 gound balls and winning tree draw controls.
High School:
Named Honorable Mention All-American (2007), First Team All-Midwest (2006, 2007), First Team All-State (2006, 2007), All Catholic (2006, 2007), All-Area (2006, 2007) and Academic All-American (2006, 2007).
