Colorado State Captains Blog: Day One |

Friday March 27 - Day One: Our first game day in Colorado was full of twists and turns. Due to the huge blizzard that caused the most snow in the state all season, our game schedule for the weekend constantly changed. With the schedule finalized just two hours before our first game, the team headed to Loveland Outdoor Sports Park to play Denver University. The beautiful Colorado scenery proved much more appealing from inside the team vans. Before entering the park, one van backed into a snow bank on point 2 of a 3 point turn. With the help of a few loyal parents and most of the freshmen class, the 14 person van made it back onto the road and into the sports facility. We came out strong for our first game with a final score of 19-6 against Denver University. An hour and a few snacks later we faced University of Wyoming. We started the game off strong with a string of 4 goals by different players, before Wyoming came back with a goal.
