Hi everyone,
I managed to snap a couple of photos on Friday the 13th (March 13, 2009). Hope you enjoy.
I suppose a few comments are in order....
All the photos were taken at Peach Mountain with an unmodified Canon 30D DSLR, at prime-focus of my StarMaster 14.5” F4.3 scope. Camera was set at ISO 1250. No filters were used in any images.
The Comet Lulin photo above is an unprocessed image, an exposure of 61 seconds. In addition, I had the camera set to automatically take and subtract dark-frames (first time I ever tried this). Unfortunately, this was the only decent image I obtained; all the others have significant star-trails in them.
